Mrs. Kay Goodman

A retired speech therapist and special education professional, Kay has returned to her family ranch in Denton County where she and husband, Bob, raise beef cattle.
Kay is co-founder of Collin Intervention to Youth (CITY) in Plano, Texas. Founded in 1989, CITY operates two shelters, two transitional living homes, and a family counseling service.
The Goodmans are members of the Blue Mound United Methodist Church where Kay is secretary of the church council and Bob assists the treasurer.
She is delighted to re-join the CPCH Board after a year's hiatus and looks forward to more service to this outstanding agency.
Pat Huff

Pat Huff is a member of St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, where she serves as hand bell choir director, sings in the choir, teaches Sunday School, is an elder and clerk of the Session.
Pat's husband, Dave, sings in the Vocal Majority, and Pat is active in the VM Women's group. They both enjoy traveling throughout the United States and Europe. They have two adult children and two granddaughters.
Pat retired in 2007 after 33 years of teaching elementary school. Now, she is a substitute teacher and mentors first-year teachers.
Don Tabor

Don Tabor served as Assistant Executive Director and then Executive Director of CPCH, and has also served three prior terms on CPCH's board of trustees. He also served as the minister at Cumberland Presbyterian churches in Kentucky, Illinois, and Tennessee. He is a graduate of Bethel College, Memphis Theological Seminary and has done further studies in clinical pastoral education in Georgia Mental Health Institute, Atlanta and Baptist Hospital, Nashville.
Joy Wallace

Joy is president and chief executive officer of J.O.Y. Foods, Inc.
Prior to founding J.O.Y. Foods, Inc., Joy was senior director of national sales for the Pizza Hut® Nontraditional Business Group. In her five years at Pizza Hut, Joy took the lead in developing new business opportunities previously untapped by the company. Among her many accomplishments was the development and implementation of the Pizza Hut Pizza Pack.
Joy's career has also included key roles in finance, marketing, sales and product development at Pilgrim's Pride, Prepared Foods, Inc. and Uncle Ben's, Inc.
Joy has established J.O.Y. Foods as a successful organization built on a strong foundation of Christian business principles. She is a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America.
Mr. Mickey Shell

Pine Bluff. Ark.
After farming for ten years on his family's farm, Mickey returned to college and obtained a B.S. and M.S. in Psychology. He is a Licensed Psychological Examiner-Independent working with Special Education in the Dumas, Ark., school district. He also keeps a small private practice focusing on children, families, and marriage counseling, and teaches one class at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Mickey is an elder and adult Sunday School teacher at Shell Chapel CP Church, located near Pine Bluff. He enjoys working at Camp Peniel (summer church camp in Arkansas Presbytery), being outdoors working in the yard, camping, and doing woodworking projects.
Ruby Letson

Ruby is a lifelong Cumberland Presbyterian and a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Florence, Ala. She has served as an elder and is involved in all phases of church work, with missions being her passion.
Ruby is a retired nursing home administrator.
Rev. Yoong Kim

Yoong S. Kim came to the United States in 1972. He holds an MBA, M.Ed. and a doctorate from the University of Memphis and a D.Min. from Memphis Theological Seminary. He is an instructor and former Council Chairman in the Program of Alternate Studies at Memphis Theological Seminary, founder and pastor emeritus of the Korean Church of Memphis and is Korean Ministry Adviser to the Cumberland Presbyterian General Assembly. Yoong also has experience in management at FedEx Services.
Yoong has been married to his wife, Ann, for 40 years. Ann is a Sunday School teacher. They have a son, Michael, who has a Ph.D. in microbiology and lives in Washington, D.C. Michael is married to Ann, who is a school teacher. Michael and Ann have three children: Emily, Claire and Matthew. Yoong also has a daughter, Hannah, who is an attorney in North Carolina.
Yoong is interested in the assimilation of second-generation Korean-Americans into society as well as motivation issues with young men and women. Recently he published a book, Beautiful Stories of a Korean American Ministry.
Norlan Scrudder

Norlan grew up in western Oklahoma, graduated from Cordell High School, went to Southwestern State, then graduated from Bethel College. He then graduated from the Cumberland Presbyterian Theological Seminary, later to become Memphis Theological Seminary (MTS).
Norlan has served several pastorates, was director of the Program of Alternate Studies (PAS), and since semi-retirement in 2000, he is doing part-time work for the Board of Missions Leadership Referral Service.
While at MTS as director of PAS, Norlan started doing interim work and, he has assisted the Board of Missions in attempting to recruit and train people to do interim pastoral work. Norlan has been interim pastor for: Selmer, Tenn.; McKenzie, Tenn.; Russellville, Ark.; First CPC in Springfield, Mo.; Faith CPC in Tulsa (two times); Brenthaven in Nashville (uniting Brentwood and Brookhaven). He has been at each church (except Springfield) about a year.
Alfonso Marquez

Alfonso hails from Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, but moved to East Tennessee more than eight years ago.
Alfonso is working in East Tennessee planting a Spanish-speaking church with the assistance and support of the Board of Missions of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. While Alfonso's ministry is oriented to serve anyone, he especially loves to work in missions and with children.

Mamie Hall

Mamie has been retired from teaching school for five years, but she has gone back to work as a Reading Coach/Interventionist. She taught school for 32 years before retiring.
She is a member of the East Waco Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, where she serves as Vice President of Women's Mission, Director of Christian Education, and Director of Drill and Praise Teams.

Baron "Barry" H. Smith, Jr.

Barry graduated from North Texas State University (now UNT) with a degree in Choral Music Education. He is married to Susan, a registered nurse, and has two grown children and three grandchildren. His hobbies include golf and singing with Vocal Majority, a 120 member male chorus.
Barry's professional career includes 43 years in military, corporate and private aviation.
He currently owns his own company, which focuses on the sale, acquisition, leasing and management of various types of aircraft.
Barry is a member of Bent Tree Bible Fellowship Church in Carrollton where he has participated as a facilitator and member of the Church Committee for Crown Ministries.
He is also active in a Menʼs Bible study group at Valley Creek Church, Flower Mound.
