Denton Airshow Set for June 19
DENTON - The Denton Air Fair Committee and the award-winning Denton Airport have teamed up with David Schultz Airshows LLC to bring another fantastic aerial event to North Texas. This one-day show on June 19 will feature the best in airshow entertainment.
Headlining the performances will be the USAF A-10 Thunderbolt II West Coast Demonstration Team. Other performers include Mike "Spanky" Galloway in this Pitts S2C, Jason Newberg in his T-28C Trojan, the Texas Twisters Formation Team, the Flight of the Phoenix Escadrille Team, and many others. There will be static aircraft displays, vendors, a children's play area featuring the Denton Public Library's "Library Larry" and plenty of food and drinks. Longhorn Helicopter will also be offering rides.
Advance tickets are only $5 and are available until June 15 at all PointBank locations and at Business Air at the Denton Airport. Tickets will be $8 at the gate. Children under age 6 get in free. Gates open at 10 a.m. and opening ceremonies will begin at noon and will feature the award-winning Liberty Christian choir.
Ten foot by ten foot preferred seating areas in prime viewing locations are available for an additional $25. Patrons in preferred seating may put up 10'x 10' tents and bring in their own chairs. For reservations, contact Kristi Galan at kgalan@pointbank.com.
The Denton Airport is located 4 miles west of I-35E in Denton.
Proceeds from the airshow benefit Cumberland Presbyterian Children's Home in Denton.
